#fitmom

Another busy week in the books. Each day after work I felt like I had so much errands to do. Monday…pick up photo booth…Tuesday…worked more when I got home…Wednesday…set up photo booth…Thursday…surprise birthday dinner in North Park for Allie…Friday…Sydney’s 18th Birthday. But with all this stuff going on, I definitely have no complaints. It was busy, but every part of it was awesome.

I lucked out

So I randomly was on Target.com on Monday and happened to click the side banner for the new Nintendo Switch. And to my surprise, I noticed that the ‘Add to cart’ button was available. I clicked it…seconds later…it actually got added to my cart and gave me the option to continue to purchase. And you can guess what I did…I bought two!

Photo booth business?

My birthday gift to Sydney Rae was to build/set-up a photo booth to have at her event. Mind you, I’ve never done this before, so I was a bit scared to what I actually committed myself to. Everything turned up better than I expected and got tons of compliments throughout the party. This seems like easy income if I were to rent this out for future events…

It was a hit!

Cut it, cut it, cut it…your hair is to long i think you need to cut it – O.T. Genasis

It’s Filipino tradition to wait to cut your baby’s hair till he/she is at least one years old. I think they say its goodluck or something…but we couldn’t help but cut Huddy’s hair. He was born with a mop on his head. Haha his hair was literally going into his ears.

Surprises are the best!

Jeff is so sweet. He planned an amazing trip to SF with Allie for her birthday, but that’s not all…he got the gang together to surprise Allie at Tribute Pizza in North Park. I could tell how surprised she was and how much she appreciated his efforts. And of course, she was thrilled to see everyone and enjoy the delicious food.

Sweet 18???

Not sure what you call a young lady’s 18th birthday? I know of sweet 16…but 18? not sure haha.

Sydney’s real birthday is February 25th, but had her big ONE EIGHT b-day party this past Friday. I truly can’t believe that my niece is 18 and graduating high school this summer. I was asked to say a little something for Sydney. When coming up with the what to say it was actually quite easy. Sydney was one of the rare baby/kid/teens that just listened and made sure she did what she was told. She played a huge part of who I am today. She was the first diaper change i’ve ever done. She indirectly made me more responsible (since I had to baby sit her). She made me want to be kind and giving to others (I remember wanting to always buy her the coolest things that were out). Part of my speech, I told Sydney that I hoped she went to school close by (Cal State San Marcos) so that she can now babysit Hudson =) haha she owes me. All in all, she has grown to be a beautiful young women and I can’t wait for her to enter a new chapter in her life.

Eliel Factory Team

I haven’t had a chance to write about my new cycling team I am a part of, but yes, I am on a local SoCal team called Eliel. They make cycling gear and custom gear for teams throughout the nation. I don’t plan on racing much this year, but I am hoping to do a few just to keep up with my fitness. If your looking for some gear…visit: http://www.elielcycling.com. I got to meet up with fellow teammate Matt (Marie’s older brother) and cycle through my old hood.

Cathy is freakin’ amazing

On Sunday, Cathy completed her first half marathon since giving birth. It was exactly 3 months ago when Hudson was born. She even ran it at an amazing pace that probably most of my friends couldn’t even do. I’m a bit nervous because her and I are super competitive. I’ve been challenging her so that I could redeem myself from my poor performance during the full marathon up in Vegas a few years back. Based on her performance this weekend, I have no doubts that she will be back to her speed and endurance that rival olympic Kenyan runners. Besides Cathy’s first run back, what was cool was that Tyler, Leah, and Mick (Leah’s younger brother) ran the race too. I would’ve but someone had to watch Huddy. Also to note, this was Tyler’s and Mick’s first ever real race event and they had a blast.
