Hard to believe that 2001 was the first time my friends and I had our first and now annual Christmas party. That very first party, I think, there was only 6 of us who participated. Each year, our group has grown to what it is today. People are married, engaged, have babies, and busy (hence the super late party). Things have definitely changed, but all for the better.
Fast forward 16 years…and we’re still the crazy kids that made up obnoxious rules and got each other gifts that aimed more for laughter than sticking to wishlists. We also tried something new this year. We did white elephant instead of the more traditional secret santa. And in my opinion, it didn’t disappoint. I ended up with a classic Sega Genesis, although it came at a price (shots shots shots).
The Annual Christmas party is always an event we all look forward to. These days, it is pretty hard to get everyone together and chill. I love hosting this party because I love seeing everyone chit chat and catch up. We ate, we drank, we played, we laughed, and of course we enjoyed each other’s company. Till next year!
