TAHOE You are Amazing

Things worked out for the best…

The original family trip was supposed to be back in December and we were supposed to go to San Francisco with my parents. Our plans to SF got cancelled due to reasons that I honestly don’t remember. But what I do remember is how sad we all were for having to cancel/postpone our trip.

The good news was that we eventually settled on a different location for the trip and had the brilliant idea of killing two birds with one stone. We all (with the exception of my dad) have not been to Tahoe and we haven’t seen my step-sister Lauren and her family for quite some time.

The trip was AMAZING (I feel like I’ve been using this word a lot lately), honestly, one of the best places to go/visit. If you like the great outdoors, this is the place to be. It pretty much had everything…from the beaches to the hiking trails to the food…it all hit the spot. It was pretty surreal to be standing right in front of the lake. For those local to San Diego…Imagine just standing right on the sand at La Jolla Shores and in the distance you see large mountains with snow on them and right behind you are massive trees and greenery….ooOoo man it was the best.

All in all the SF trip cancellation ended up being a blessing in disguise.
