When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased. Luke 3:21-22
There are few things I wanted to limit on my blog…one is discussing politics and the other religion. Mainly because I don’t want to offend anyone and their beliefs. I promise I won’t get to deep in it, if you think it’s too much…I’d just skip this one and wait for the next post.
Cathy and I were raised as Catholics, we were baptized, received first communion, got confirmed, and was married in the Catholic Church. As of late, we might not have been the best in following our faith, but after Hudson was born we had to make that decision whether or not we wanted him to also be raised a Catholic. There are many things I disagree with the Church, but there are many more things that I value and believe with the Church.
I am by no means perfect, but when I reflect of the person I am, I give a lot of credit to being raised a Catholic. I want Hudson to be able to experience those experiences I had growing up…taking CCD classes, church camps, and having a community/family to lean on during tough times.
We’ve surrounded Hudson with the best godparents I could imagine. My best friend Jeff Domingo and his wife Allie Domingo. Cathy’s best friend Leah Buencamino. And one of our favorite couples: Derek and Paula Changsrivong.

I am so happy that Huddy will have these role models to look up to. They each bring their own special values that they can pass on to Huddy.
And of course, besides Hudson’s immediate godparents, Cathy and my family will play a huge role in guiding Hudson in his new journey as a Catholic.
Huddy, welcome to the Christian world! May the good Lord bless your life with special blessings from heaven and may your Baptism day be filled with very special love.
