Sorry for the late late post. I’ve been out of office for the past week.
Another perk of having a kid is that I get a total of 6 weeks off for family bonding time. I decided to spread mine out throughout Huddy’s first year so that I can enjoy various moments with him as he grows up. My first full week of family bonding time was the best…here’s what happened.
Happy Birthday Derek!

Derek rented out an Air B&B in Little Italy. It was a cute little place where we all got to catch up, listen to music, and dance. We had dinner at some Italian restaurant down the street…and from what I remember…it was pretty bomb. Sadly, or should I say unfortunately, I had one too many drinks and lost some memories that night. I’ve learned that I am not the same party goer as I used to be.

Pasadena for the week!
Cathy and I decided to spend my week off hanging out with the Gomez fam up in Pasadena. Every time we’ve visited them in the past, it always felt to short. My sister and Kuya Jimmy were very accommodating and made us feel like we were staying at a 5 star resort. It was relaxing and stress free. Our biggest concern was “what do we eat next?”
Of course, right when we arrived, they had Max’s (one of my favorite Filipino restaurants) ready for us and we were also pleasantly surprised to see my mom and Roger there too!

On Monday, Kuya Jimmy said he had a surprise for me and for me to just be ready to head out by 4PM. I honestly had no clue what he had in store. Cathy and my sister knew, but also didn’t give an ounce of a hint to what it was. My best guess was that it had something to do with magic or maybe watching a premiere of the new PowerRangers movie (yes, i thought of the nerdiest ideas). O and before the big surprise, Marie and Jack stopped by and dropped off Din Tai Fung and Portos!

Monday night RAW!!!

This definitely was a super surprise. I would have never guessed! This brought back some nostalgia for sure. Back in my middle school days, I was a mega fan of WCW/WWF. It was weird not knowing a lot of the wrestlers, but crazy that some of the guys that I watched as a kid were still grinding it out in the ring.
The rest of the week consisted of eating, eating, and eating. Haha, but seriously we ate like there was no tomorrow. Again, I need to step up my picture taking as I missed so much food consumption. But few of the highlights besides eating…we went to Universal City Walk, jogged around the Rose Bowl, Soul Cycle, Philz Coffee, Home brewed Bar, visited the Goingcos in Palmdale, strolled around the park, played Nintendo Classic, cycled through the San Gabriel Mountains, celebrated Jett’s 1st birthday, watched the boys first baseball game, and most importantly…we got to bond with the family.
